Pop-up Theatre Sligo is hosting Irelands largest ever immersive amateur theatre production. The Stephen Sondheim classic has never been done in Sligo, but Pop Up Theatre are bringing an exciting Immersive production to Knocknarea Arena ATU from 24-26 April 2025.

Tickets for this extraordinary event will go on sale at 10am on Monday the of 2nd December, exclusively from the Hawks Well Theatre box office. Tickets are €25 and are expected to sell out quickly.

There will be drinks and treats for sale in the Knocknarea arena provided by Garavogue bar and O’Hehir’s bakery.

Sweeney Todd will be a wonderfully immersive experience, intimate, with the audience surrounding the performers and in the thick of the action, but DONT WORRY - there won't be any audience participation, just grab a drink, sit back and relax. There are tiered seating options available.

Evil Judge Turpin lusts for the beautiful wife of a London barber and transports him to Australia for a crime he did not commit. Returning after 15 years and calling himself Sweeney Todd, the now-mad man vows revenge, applying his razor to unlucky customers and shuttling the bodies down to Mrs. Lovett, who uses them in her meat-pie shop. Though many fall to his blade, he will not be satisfied until he slits Turpin's throat.
